The Story:
Six months before my wedding, my hair was almost down to my waist, but it needed a trim, and it looked two-toned because of old dye. When I sat in the hairdresser’s chair, the first thing I said was, “I want a change, but don’t cut too much because I’m getting married in six months and I want long hair for the wedding.”
She dyed my hair to make it look more ombre, but then cut it all off and chopped my hair to my shoulders. I trusted her, wasn’t looking in the mirror, and didn’t notice how much she was cutting off. I was so upset that I threw money at her and ran out.

My hair is curly, so after it dried, it was even shorter. It wasn’t anywhere near the length I wanted for my wedding. When I talked to her later about how much she had cut and that the dye job looked exactly the same as before, she said she must have cut off all the dyed hair and that’s why it looked the same. She also claimed that I never told her I wanted to keep my hair long. I asked, “Why would you dye hair only to cut it all off?” She had no answer for that.
