TEMPLE, Texas — KCEN 6 News has announced the sudden passing of evening anchor Kris Radcliffe on Wednesday. His family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
Rob Dwyer, President and General Manager of KCEN/KAGS, expressed deep sorrow, describing Radcliffe as a kind and generous individual who uplifted those around him. “It is hard to say goodbye,” Dwyer shared, noting Radcliffe’s significant impact on both the station and the Central Texas community.
A statement from Radcliffe’s wife, Eden, was shared through her sister, Libby, on Facebook. “Eden appreciates the overwhelming love and support shown to her, their daughters, and the family,” Libby wrote, adding that Eden is reading messages but finds it too challenging to respond at the moment.
Radcliffe had been with KCEN for 22 years, starting as a sports anchor in 2002. Over the years, he transitioned to morning anchor for Texas Today and later became the trusted face of the station’s evening news.
