BREAKING: Trump Names White House Chief of Staff

Susie Wiles, who served as co-chair of Trump’s 2024 campaign, has been appointed as his chief of staff for a potential second term.

Previously, Wiles worked with Trump’s Save America super PAC and played a key role in his 2016 victory as the campaign lead in Florida.

The Trump campaign made the announcement on Thursday.

“Susie Wiles was crucial in helping me secure one of the greatest political wins in American history, and she was a vital part of both my 2016 and 2020 campaigns,” Trump stated.

“Susie is tough, intelligent, innovative, and widely respected. She will continue to work relentlessly to Make America Great Again. It is a well-deserved honor for her to be the first female Chief of Staff in U.S. history, and I am confident she will make the country proud,” Trump continued.

Several global leaders reached out to President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday to congratulate him on his historic victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his admiration on the X platform, stating, “Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback! Your return to the White House marks a new beginning for America and strengthens the vital bond between Israel and the U.S. This is a monumental win!” He included a photo of himself, his wife Sara, and Trump.

In Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had a controversial role in the U.S. election campaign, spoke optimistically about Trump’s potential role in addressing the Russian invasion. “I recall our great meeting in September, where we discussed the Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership and the Victory Plan,” Zelenskyy wrote in a lengthy post. “I value President Trump’s commitment to ‘peace through strength’ in global affairs, a principle that could help bring lasting peace to Ukraine. I look forward to collaborating to achieve this.” Zelenskyy also expressed anticipation for a strong partnership with the U.S. under Trump’s leadership and emphasized Ukraine’s role in ensuring European security.

Other leaders offering congratulations included El Salvador’s President, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In contrast, Chinese leadership remained reserved, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stating, “We respect the choice of the American people and will continue to handle U.S.-China relations based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.”

In the U.S., stock markets soared following Trump’s victory. Dow futures surged more than 1,000 points, and S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures jumped over 1%. Trump, speaking at his headquarters in Florida, vowed to restore the country. “We’re going to turn it around, and we’re going to do it fast,” he said.

Vice President-elect JD Vance also emphasized economic revival, stating, “Under Donald Trump’s leadership, we will lead the greatest economic comeback in American history.”
