Police had visited Kristina Joksimovic’s home just months before her tragic death, discovering strangulation marks on her neck, according to new reports. The Miss Switzerland finalist’s friends had repeatedly warned her to “be careful,” as her relationship with her husband, Thomas, grew increasingly toxic. Tragically, their warnings went unheeded.

In a chilling turn of events, Kristina, a mother-of-two, was found dead on the eve of Valentine’s Day in February. Her decapitated and dismembered remains were discovered by her father. A forensic report revealed that she had been strangled before her body was “chopped up with a hand blender, pureed, and dissolved in chemicals.”

Her husband, Thomas, is now on trial, accused of her gruesome murder. He remains in jail after his appeal to the Swiss Federal Court was rejected. Local media reports that he admitted to the crime during a reconstruction in March.

Kristina had built a successful career after being crowned Miss Northwest Switzerland in 2007, later becoming a finalist for Miss Switzerland. She also launched her own business and mentored fellow model Dominique Rinderknecht for the Miss Universe pageant.

One of Kristina’s friends, who spoke anonymously to MailOnline, revealed that she had warned her about her “ticking time bomb” of a husband. “Kristina was married to a killer and had no idea,” her friend shared, adding, “He was derogatory towards her… he wanted Kristina to disappear.”

Court documents show that police had previously visited the couple’s home in July, where they documented strangulation marks on Kristina’s neck. Despite deciding to divorce her husband, her friends cautioned her to be careful, especially considering the influence of his family.
