Parents of ‘AGT’ Contestant Emily Gold, 17, Break Their Silence After Daughter’s Tragic Death – Heartbreaking Post

Emily Gold’s parents have broken their silence about her tragic death, sharing their grief through an emotional post on social media. Many have offered their prayers and condolences to the grieving family.

In a heart-wrenching Instagram post shared on September 16, Brandy and Steve Gold expressed their deep sorrow over their daughter Emily’s passing. They wrote on behalf of themselves and their son, Alex, who also shared his own tribute to his late sister through his Instagram Story Highlights.

Brandy and Steve posted a touching photo of Emily, a former “America’s Got Talent” contestant who tragically passed away at the age of 17. In the picture, Emily is seen beaming with joy, dressed in a Grizzlies blue and gold cheerleader uniform, holding sparkling pompoms.

Confirming the date of her death as September 13, her devastated parents wrote, “Our hearts are shattered beyond words. The overwhelming love and support we’ve received remind us of how many lives our angel touched. This outpouring of care will help us navigate the hardest moment of our lives.”

They concluded with, “Thank you all for your love and support. We will share details about the services once arrangements are made. With love, Brandy, Steve, and Alex Gold.”

Many responded to their post with heartfelt condolences. One commenter wrote, “So sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to your family ,” while another added, “I’m deeply sorry. Sending prayers during this difficult time ️.”

Alex, Emily’s older brother, also shared an emotional tribute on his Instagram Story. His post included a collection of cherished photos of him and Emily, ranging from childhood memories at the beach to recent moments spent together with their dog. One of the photos showed Emily in a stunning blue dress, while Alex’s caption reflected the special bond they shared.

He wrote, “Dear baby sis, the time we spent together will never be enough. You were my entire childhood, and I’ll always carry the memories of all the places we visited together.”

Alex expressed how much he would miss the small, everyday moments with Emily and vowed to live his life in honor of her. “You were my one and only sister. Half of my heart is missing without you, but it will always belong to you. I will love and miss you forever, baby sis.”

News outlets confirmed that Emily, a Los Osos High School dancer, had taken her own life on September 13. According to the San Bernardino Coroner’s Office, she was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound carpool lane on the 210 freeway and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have asked anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Emily’s death is a stark contrast to the joy she experienced just a month earlier when she and her high school dance team performed on “America’s Got Talent.” Though they were eliminated in the quarterfinals, their performance earned high praise from judge Simon Cowell, who called it “absolutely brilliant” and highlighted the energy and teamwork displayed by the group.

Reflecting on her time on the show, Emily had spoken about how she and her teammates worked hard to apply feedback and balance their busy schedules between school and the competition.
