“Trump Praises Law Enforcement for Their ‘Incredible Job’ Following Assassination Attempt”

Late Sunday, former President Donald Trump expressed gratitude to law enforcement following what he described as another assassination attempt while he was golfing in Florida. In a post on Truth Social, Trump thanked the U.S. Secret Service, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, and other law enforcement agencies for their swift action, calling their efforts “absolutely outstanding” and expressing pride in being an American.

The incident occurred when a Secret Service agent spotted a rifle barrel through a fence at Trump International in West Palm Beach. The agent fired at the suspect, who dropped an AK-47-style rifle and fled in an SUV. Law enforcement later apprehended the suspect, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, in Martin County.

Trump also reassured supporters in a fundraising email that he was safe and well, affirming his determination not to be slowed down or deterred. This follows another assassination attempt in July at a rally in Pennsylvania.
