Trump to Unveil World Liberty Financial Crypto Platform Monday
Former President Trump will launch his cryptocurrency platform, World Liberty Financial, on Monday from Mar-a-Lago.
In a video on X, Trump stated, “We’re moving forward with crypto, leaving outdated banks behind.”
The live event will air at 8 p.m. EDT on X’s Spaces. Trump is calling it a “state of crypto address.”
He first mentioned the project on Truth Social. Trump criticized traditional banks, saying, “Average Americans are squeezed by big banks. It’s time to stand up together.”
The Telegram channel, previously “The DeFiant Ones,” is now “World Liberty Financial” and serves as the “Official Trump DeFi Channel.”
Trump, who once called crypto a “scam,” now fully supports it. He aims to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet” if re-elected.
At a July bitcoin conference, Trump said, “If crypto is the future, it should be mined and made in the USA.”
Trump’s crypto focus contrasts with growing discontent over the Biden administration’s crypto policies, particularly those of SEC Chair Gary Gensler.
