Madison-Ridgeland Academy student killed in Mississippi crash

In Grenada County, Mississippi, a tragic two-vehicle crash resulted in the deaths of two people, including an 18-year-old Madison-Ridgeland Academy (MRA) student. The accident occurred on Highway 7 around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 1.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the crash involved a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek driven by Robert Noah of Jackson, who was traveling south, and a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer driven by Peaches McMurry of Batesville, traveling north. The collision claimed the lives of Noah, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and 74-year-old Lizzie Tucker of Texas, a passenger in the Jeep.

In response to Noah’s death, MRA officials expressed profound grief, extending their prayers to the Noah family, the senior class, and the entire school community. The MHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
