Cast, Crew, and Synopsis
Written by David Coggeshall (Orphan: First Kill) and Elijah Bynum (Magazine Dreams), and directed by Lee Daniels (Star), the thriller features a star-studded cast including Andra Day (The United States vs. Billie Holiday), Glenn Close (Cruella), Rob Morgan (Don’t Look Up), Caleb McLaughlin (Stranger Things), and Miss Lawrence (The Real Housewives of Atlanta).
The film is inspired by the Ammons haunting case, a reported incident of paranormal activity in Gary, Indiana, in 2011. The case, which was later covered in national newspapers, involved the Ammons family experiencing black flies, strange footsteps, a shadowy figure, claims of attacks and possession, and eventually an exorcism performed by a religious leader. The supposed supernatural events reportedly ceased after the family moved to Indianapolis in 2012.
