Dogs have incredible instincts, often sensing things that humans overlook. In one heartwarming TikTok video, a dog’s persistent barking at its owner’s car led to a surprising and life-saving discovery.

Savannah, the dog’s owner, shared how her puppy started whining non-stop at her car at 6 AM. Concerned but unsure why, she and her partner decided to investigate. They checked under the hood but found nothing out of the ordinary. However, the dog’s distress didn’t subside, so they resorted to spraying the car with a hose.

To their amazement, a tiny kitten darted out from the car’s engine! The little stray had been hiding there, likely unnoticed if not for the dog’s keen sense.

Luckily, the kitten found a safe haven with Savannah, who has a knack for rescuing animals that seem to find her in the most unexpected ways. This was the third baby animal she’d rescued in just 35 days, something she playfully mentioned on TikTok as feeling like “a joke at this point.”

While the kitten was initially feisty and hissed at Savannah, it quickly warmed up to her. But instead of keeping the kitten, Savannah’s friend Cody stepped up to adopt the little one. The timing was perfect, as Savannah had recently said goodbye to her own beloved cat. She sent the kitten off to its new home with all her leftover cat supplies, finding comfort in the idea that they could be put to good use.

“I’m happy I have someone to share those things with,” Savannah wrote. “I wish you happiness in your new home and I’m really glad you picked my car to hide in.”
