Cleaning Window Blinds
I don’t mind cleaning, but I dread those once- or twice-a-year, tedious chores. A prime example is cleaning our window blinds.
Dusty Blinds
Have you noticed how your blinds collect dust? Dust is not only unsightly but can also lead to dust mites, which irritate people with allergies. Thankfully, there’s a simple way to clean your blinds without much effort.
Cleaning Tips
These tips work on both horizontal and vertical blinds (just not fabric ones). Start by dusting your blinds. You can use an old sock on your hand, a microfiber cloth, a handheld vacuum, or a special duster made for blinds.
Washing the Blinds
Once dusted, fill a bowl or bucket with warm water and a few drops of liquid dish soap. Submerge a clean microfiber cloth in the solution, wring it out, and clean each blind one at a time. Keep dunking and wringing out the cloth as you go.
And that’s it! Not too tedious, right? For a visual guide, check out the video below.
